ISO Asian Ginger Dressing

Does anyone have a recipe for the gingery salad dressing they serve at Japanese restaurants? I've gone out for hibachi, sushi, and teriyaki all at different places and each one had this dressing. I can't find anything that compares on store shelves and so far I haven't come across a recipe that seems right either. Can any of you help, even with recommending a good brand of store-bought stuff? Thanks!

What is it that you like about it? Can you describe it?

Why don't the storebought kinds compare?

Less is not more. More is more and more is fabulous.

I have no idea how authentic this might taste, but here's one: Japan asian sauce recipes with food and vegetable information and culture from asia

That looks like something that might have the right taste. I'll see when I have a chance to try it! Thanks :)

To Jennyema - I can't really put my finger on why the storebought ones come up short. Maybe they're just less fresh or something. Or maybe I'm too picky.
