What kind do you like?

I usually just mix up some mayo, mustard, wine vinegar, salt, pepper, and maybe some celery seed -- sorta like coleslaw dresing.

But you could also use sour cream or yogurt. Or just a vinaigrette-type dressing.

Depends on your taste.

This is my favorite,

Whiz in a blender or food processor:

2/3 cup olive oil
3 T. red wine vinegar
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves OR 1 T. dried basil
3 T. Parmesan cheese
1 1/4 t. kosher salt
1/4 t. pepper

I usually put in marinated artichokes, green stuffed olives and pepperocinis. I'm thinking of using black olives instead of green stuffed olives for contrast. What do you think of adding cubes of cheese ? I don't want to add meat because we will be at a picnic & it might go bad sitting out. What do you put in your pasta salad ?

I usually blend (in a blender) extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, green onions, fresh basil, salt, pepper. However, I just tried a certain brand - I don't know if I can say it here or not - but the flavor was Pesto Salad Dressing - I couldn't tell the difference - and it is much easier too!
