Many of us go oh no when we see a gelatin or Jello salad. But at times especially with kids they come in handy and the kids love them. This one my grandkids gobble up almost before it sets
I use 2 packs of 3 oz. orange jello add 1-1/2 c. boiling water, 1 6 oz can frozen OJ undiluted. to this I add a pint of orange sherbet and mix til it melts. Then stir in 1 can of 13 ozl mandarin oranges and put it into a 9x13 pan or you can do individual ramekins and then freeze. Serve on soft butter lettuce leaves and top with this dressing. mix 1 cup mayo, 1/.4c. soft cream cheese add a dash of ground ginger and pour over top of your salad. We usually serve this with chicken or cornish game hens or even turkey slices...
