OK, if you could invite anyone in the world, dead, alive or fictional, who would it be?

Chez Moi -
-Rosalind Franklin (intelligent and hopefully a bit of amusing bitching about Crick & Watson)

-Jancis Robinson (Master of Wine and wine journalist - in the hopes that she'll bring the wine

-Mma Ramotswe (down to earth common sense and a love of food)

-Cary Grant (urbane and sophisticated)

-David McCallum (because I had a huge crush on him when I was about 14 and he was in "The Man From Uncle")

-Lord Peter Wimsey ( I was going to have Hercule Poirot but thought that might not be a good idea considering the mayhem that follows wherever he's invited )

-Dick Francis (A good raconteur and knows his horses.)

-Me (of course)

There, I think I have enough matching plates for that lot. I'm off to decide on the menu.

I had crushes on both of them when I was about 14. Hmm, you must be about as ancient as me.

For me it would be friends and family that have gone on ahead.

They all pay me a visit during the holidays, it would just be nice to sit down, have a meal and rehash the good old days, the days of auld lang syne.

Do I believe in ghosts, why yes I do!
