Important BBQ

We are invited to a BBQ this weekend. It is being given by my SIL's girlfriend's father. This young lady is a very strong contender for DIL.

We have never met the family before. I have been asked to bring "Something". I have a good Taco Salid and Potato Salid to fall back on. I am hoping for something different from the norm and memorable. Since I havw never met her family, I don't know what they like.

Ideas gratefully accepted.

Different from the norm and memorable? How about a keg and a beer bong. That should get you remembered

Or just something you make well, like you mentioned. You said taco salad and my eyes lit up. I love taco salad.

Do you know what they're fixing? Obviously you don't want to duplicate and it might make what you fix easier to decide.

I second the keg and a drinking song!!

Otherwise something TNT from your arsenal like the taco salad.

I would make some calls...find out what they're having...what's needed. I personally wouldn't want to take a dish that may "compete" with one of the hosts dishes!!....That being said, an extra dessert is always a welcome addition!

Have Fun!

Thanks for the recipe. That looks good. (I like Catalina, BTW).
So is it today or was it yesterday?
