I made cobbler tonight!!
I seldom bake as I hate closely following recipes. A friend of mine gave me some pears. I decided I wanted cobbler. I stopped and bought(no, I didn't make crust) pie crust and I thought I had cinnamon.

I sliced up the pears, mixed up with water and sugar and cornstarch. Added some butter. I went for the cinnamon and the only thing I had were sticks...
I put them in my food processor and got as much fine ground cinnamon as I could, but it wasn't enough so I added some allspice and ginger.

It smelled about right before baking, after baking it's pretty tasty, but it really needed more spice. The pears are amazing, much better than apples.

So first time... not bad!! I give myself 3.5 out of 5.....

I have used variations on Mama's cobbler a bunch of times... always a hit and so wonderfully easy

Last time with Mangos! YUM

I've tried apple and peach cobblers but never pear. I bet it's very good.
