If I use store bought frozen fruit (a combination of peaches and berries) to make a cobbler, should I thaw the fruit first or use it frozen. I know from other recipes using frozen berries, they get very soggy (for lack of a better term) if I let them thaw. The recipes have come out fine when I use them straight from the freezer.

In a cobbler, can I toss the frozen fruit with the sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon etc? Will it get too watery? Am I crazy to even use the frozen fruit? I like the handiness of knowing that the fruit is in the freezer......also, berries are so $$$$, it gets to be an expensive dessert.

Thanks in advance.

Wow! That was fast. I guess b/f the cobbler gets so gooey anyway, it doesn't matter.

I do a weekly playgroup with 2 other moms with kids my son's age. Actually, the three boys were all born within 8 days of eachother. I bake something every week. been doing a lot of cakes and cookies and wanted to try something different. Thought a cobbler would be good.

Thanks again, crewsk.

Have a good night.
