Red face Sweet Apple Crisp
Hi All,

I'm trying to find a delicious Apple Crisp recipe for Thanksgiving. I don't know which type of apples to use. My Husband hates tart apples so I'm trying to find a sweet yet durable apple to cook with. Any suggestions???

Red face thanks
Thank you.

Since I live in New York I couldn't get my hands on Harelsons but i did find Honeycrisp which is a cross between Harelsons & Golden Delicious.

A really good and easy apple crisp recipe is on the drum of Quaker Oats oatmeal. I bet you could find it online at their site. It is really yummy.

Can you find Macintosh? Anything "delicious" does not cook well. Its too mushy and granular. Go with a Spartan or a Macintosh if your hubby can't manage Grannys. I'll go find a link to my apple crisp recipe. Its truly foolproof.

Here it is.
