until she sees a doctor there isn't much to do but support and encourage your friend. The puffiness could be any number of things,inclucding the kidneys shutting down or laboring. She needs a doctor and help soon. I've been through this with my neice(self-induced and myself medicine induced) It's horrific and you need all the help you can get. I'll pray for your friend and hope she comes round soon She is surly lucky to have you as a friend.
