I am still going to add the green chilies, like I said, they lend that certain flavor that only they can lend.
I am going to use the green chilies as you suggest - I am sending you the hot peppers out tomorrow and look forward to the BBQ sauce - will pm my addy to you!! Can not wait to try this meal on Saturday!!

It's a lot like we make our cornbread. I bet the creamed corn makes it very tasty! dh is kind of a cornbread snob, so I wonder what he'll think.

I would love to participate this weekend. I remember doing this several months ago on this forum & it was fun - helped me to decide what to make. BUT - I will be doing a meal for the homeless shelter on Sat. & a church meal on Sunday. I'll tell you what I'm planning, maybe that will give you some ideas.

Shelter Meal
Baked Ham
Cheesy Potato Casserole
Green Bean Casserole
Scalloped Corn
Buttermilk Dinner Rolls

Sunday Church Meal - the theme this month is Comfort Food
Homemade Tomato Soup
Grilled Cheese Sammiches (Not sure how I'm going to handle doing a large quantity of them yet. Any ideas?)
