Does anyone have a TNT pina coloda recipe? I usually use the mix stuff bought from the store and want to try one from "scratch".

Thanks!:)

I wish I knew amounts but here's what I do -

Fill up blender with ice, pour in about the same amount of rum and pineapple juice, add about 1/3 can of CoCo Lopez (this is the sweetened kind) and blend well. You can also add some crushed pineapple - taste to see if it needs more CoCo Lopez. Serve with a pineapple wedge. Then call me to come taste it

I do it pretty much the same way as Kitchenelf, but the only difference is that I just take a can of pineapple rings and add the whole thing, juice and rings, to the blender. Occasionally I will also add a little Grand Marnier, but I don't do that often.

Thanks! TexasGirl, peach sounds sooooooooooooooooooo good. Too bad I am allergic.
:-( I just have to be happy with watching others drink it.

1/3 cup cream of coconut
1/3 c dark rum
1 c crushed ice

Hector (my SO) makes the BEST pina coladas!! They are soooo refreshing. One sip transports you to a tropical beach!!

Hector's Pina Coladas

4 parts pineapple juice
4 parts creamed coconut
3 parts rum
good splash of Rose's Lime Juice
2 cups of ice

Blend in blender, pour into frosty glasses, garnish with fresh pineapple or a lime wedge.

Relax & enjoy!!

This recipe came from Paula Deen. I recently spent a few days with my daughter in another state - took the ingredients and made these. They were YUMMY!

Ice cubes
1/2 cup rum
1/2 cup coconut cream
1/4 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup pineapple chunks
Sliced pineapple, for garnish
Maraschino cherry, for garnish

Fill blender halfway with ice cubes. Add rum, coconut cream, coconut milk and pineapple chunks. Puree.

Serve, garnished with a slice of pineapple and maraschino cherry. Serves 4.

( I found the coconut cream and coconut milk on the soda/mixers aisle in the market.)
