Jell-O Shots, What Went Wrong?

I attempted to make Jell-O shots yesterday. I followed the directions very carefully - 2 cups boiling water, 2 cups chilled vodka. It didn’t gel! What could have gone wrong?

You wasted vodka.

Unless of course you were trying to lure college kids to a party.

Lol, just kidding. I never liked sneaky alcohol. Ok, with the exception of Irish or Polish coffees.

Did you use a recipe on the box of jello or 1 from a different source? If the latter, are you sure there was enough gelatin? You can always add more flavored or even unflavored to your existing mix.
