You can prepare the Sangria the night before (except for the soda water), so the *strawberries soak up the wine.
2 pints strawberries
2 750 ml bottles chilled white wine
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups chilled soda water
Wash and hull the strawberries. Combine berries, wine and sugar, stir unti sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and add the soda water to the wine mixture.
*Munch on the wine-soaked berries with whipped cream and/or a slice of pound cake on the side.
