What do you want in a red ale?

Do you want it like Killians? Bell's Amber? Flat tire? Some other red ale?

Do you want it malty? Lots of body? Not a lot of body? Hoppy? Do you want a roasted malt flavor?

C'mon folks what are some of the features/favors of your favorite flavrs or feature of your favorite red ale?

Back to the question at hand....
I love a beer that's smooth as can be, but with a flavor that starts out distinct and leaves a pleasant, honey-like aftertaste.

the ford museum/village is awesome ronjohn. i loved the place.
do they still have the heinz pickle exhibit with it?
did you know that "57 varietes" slogan on pickle and ketchup jars was just a marketing ploy? they had more than 57, but that number seems to appeal to people, so they put it on everything.

as far as red ales go, i haven't had a good one to speak of. i like hoppy (gimme some ibu's), and good body, but that roasted malt thing sounds good too.
