Agua de Melon

One of my favorite drinks is what they make in Latin America, they call them aguas I think. One of my favorites is agua de melon. Itís just Melon mixed with water and sugar. Itís so good. I've been trying to figure out what fruits would be good mixed in drink like this? Anyone have any ideas?

I have never done it with banana or mango because the texture of these are more in line for 'shakes'; but pineapple and apple are excelent choice. I think the fruit has to be one that is light (watery)in texture so it blends nicely with the sugar and water. I remember taking the peels from the pineapple; washing them and soaking them in a jug of water overnite; so we ate the fruit and 'drank' the peel

keep it 'wholesome'.They are mainly 'refreshers' for the whole family ...
I know, there is always the temptation to go there; call it 'cocktail'
