Apple-Berry Cider

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

8 cups apple cider or apple juice
1 package frozen red raspberries or frozen sliced
strawberries (10-oz.)
Cinnamon stick (4-inches)
1 1/2 teaspoons whole cloves
Cinnamon sticks -- optional
1 medium apple (cut in 8 wedges) -- optional

In a large saucepan, combine cider, raspberries, cinnamon and cloves. Bring to boiling; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain mixture thru a sieve lined with 100% cheesecloth. To serve, pour cider into 8 heatproof glasses or cups.
If desired, garnish each serving with a cinnamon stick and an apple wedge.

Makes 8 servings

Wondering if cheesecloth is easy to find in the local grocery store? Thanks!
 
wonder if a coffee filter in a strainer would work?

I do believe you can find cheesecloth in a grocery store ..ask for it.
