Talking Green Smoothies
WHAT DO YOU PUT IN YOUR GREEN SMOOTHIE?

We take a handful of greens from our garden and add frozen or fresh organic fruit, fresh garden mint, stinging nettles, dates soaked in orange juice, coconut milk, rooibos sun tea (which I make myself) pure raw cacao, maca powder and a whole bunch of other healthy things. We whiz it up in the Vitamix and enjoy a huge glass for breakfast. Green smoothies are delicious and such a great way to start your morning.

Sounds very healthy drink. I've tried several times to drink somethings like this but I gave up!! Just because of its smell. Anyway, it's good for health, I''m gonna try to make this smoothie!!

Never had a Green Smoothie.
The closest I have ever been is wheat grass juice.

It can be an acquired taste to be sure. I find that the mint does really add to the flavour and if it isn't sweet enough add a little honey to the mix until you find it tastes good. The nice thing with these is its fun to experiment with them.

Good Luck

This is a whole different ball game, so to speak. You really need a good strong blender like a Vitamix or Blend-tech because most blenders can't break the green fiber into a liquid.
