If you are going to have hot chocolate to your own specifications, what are the necessary details? Made from scratch or a mix? Traditional chocolate or white or flavoured? Spiked? (Recipes welcome if you go from scratch).

I love hot chocolate with Baileys! :)

Hot chocolate with Baileys or Kaluha!! Yummy.

I just open up the package and add hot water and one of the above...
or use a candy cane to mix it up instead of a spoon.

My son loves to put Junior Mints in his.

Made from scratch = either my own chocolate syrup with real milk, or in a pinch, bottled syrup with real milk.

I grew up drinking mexican hot chocolate, but (as gross as it is) I've always liked the freeze dried marshmallow powdered hot choc too. There is a great restaurant in town we like to go to that makes theirs from belgian chocolate. It is the best I've ever had and nothing compares to it.

I also like my hc made with milk, no messing around with water. Yuck!

The best hot chocolate I ever tasted was at the French Market in New Orleans. With those wonderful hot beignets...MMmm!

I love Baileys in or out of hot chocolate.

Yes, I'm with Texasgirl. Real cocoa... made with cocoa powder, a little sugar and hot milk. Bliss. Much nicer than hot chcoclate :)

The instant kind with water, but I make it strong, pour some milk in, top with whipped cream and Hershey's strawberry syrup.
