We have all heard of it. Until you get somewhere that serves the real thing.. you will just have to suffer. Turkish coffee is FANTASTIC!!
You must have a the little Turkish coffee maker to get the right flavor.

Add your finely ground coffee, sugar and water to the little cooking carafe. bring to a frothy boil immediately remove from the heat. When it settles, bring to a boil once again and remove. Pour into the demitasse cup and let it set for a minute or two to let the grounds settle. Enjoy, but do not drain the cup... many grounds on the bottom.

The flavor is intense, but soft edged.

Mom and Dad had a brass Turkish coffee maker and a set of demitasse cups. It was a special treat to watch Mom make coffee. Usually only when we had "company".

I've got a bag of fine ground and a small boiler on hand at home. It only comes out for special occations. Mmmmmm!
