I found this recipe in one of the booklets that came with my daughter's american girl doll, Josefina (back in the good old days when she played with them ). Even though we play dolls anymore, we still make this hot chocolate - it is very good!
New Mexican Hot Chocolate
6 ounces sweet cooking chocolate
6 cups milk
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons sugar
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat. Stir until the chocolate melts and the ingredients are blended. Use an eggbeater and beat until frothy just before serving. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
