Finally - a place to discuss cooking contests!

i have been looking for a place to discuss cooking contests i'm a big fan of them! i myself are currently entered into at least 20 of them and have won 1 so far please respond if you are into them as much as i am i am dying to talk to someone about them thanks! looking forward to hearing from you

welcome, i like to watch cooking contests. but have never been in one. i am sure there are some here on dc

Welcome to DC. I haven't seen a ton of contest talk, but I'm sure they are out there and would love to talk about it!

I'm interested in one thing though. What type of contest did you win, and with what did you win it with? I've never seen a contest in real life, but it does sound fun!

well i won the ultimate krispy kreme recipe contest i won a 250 dollar krispy kreme gift card, a viking mixer worth 500 dollars, 800 dollars worth of lodge cast iron cookware, all of paula deens spices and marinades and cook books one autographed by paula and 2 aprons i was also in 2 of my local newspapers it was great, but the main ones i want to get in is the pillsbury and the national cooking one i think im currently in 20 recipe contest now i check everyday to see if there is a new one coming up

Steffi- was that the one where you had to make a dessert using krispy kream doughnuts as the main ingredient???

yep.. I remeber that recipe. It was in the Tast of the South Magaine! It is here in my pile of cooking magazines.

I'm hoping to find out about some contests on here. :-)

cool they sent me like 10 copies of that magazine and a free subscription for a year you still want to enter any contests? i can tell you where to look
