I have two heads of broccoli (not the green kind but that, how can you describe it, kind with a black or very dark green floret). Anyway, I have two and I was thinking of a hash with one but I'm not sure what to do with the other -- I'd hate to waste it and I don't want it plain or raw.

Also, I have seven egg yolks I need to use or lose by tomorrow (I can add more). I could make a genoise, a curd, or creme Anglaise but I want to do something different -- preferably a savory dish, any ideas?

The broccoli fritta and very possible, impossible pie sound like winners! The eggs benidictine reminds me that I could use some of the eggs to make a rich white sauce with three of of the seven yolks. Perhaps a Sunshine Cake with the rest?

Thanks guys,
:chef:

How about a Greek lemon soup (avgolemono)? That will use up those yolks.
