Leek, Napa Cabbage, Red Peppers, Green Beans....
All needing to be eaten!
Don't want to make a soup; was thinking of some sort of saute or stirfry side dish, to go with baked tilapia. Maybe with some light noodles or rice? I was thinking of the leeks, cabbage, beans, miniature sweet red and yellow peppers, garlic, bit of onion.... Ideas appreciated! |

Ok.....
Not a good combo or idea? Darn now I have to thunk up something else to eat with the fish. (he says in a humorous manner with smile on his face) |

I think the stir fry thing sounds pretty good...
Chop large, get some oil hot, drop the veggies in, when they are close to done pop in the fish. Right before you pull it off, sprinkle with something.. soy sauce, butter with garlic, chicken broth... what ever floats your boat. It should be pretty tasty... |

Well what I would do is. Braise the leeks. cut the root, cut the unedible top portion. then split them in half. sear then in some butter sweat some garlic and then add some chicken stock to almost cover and bring to a simmer. It should only take like 30 minutes or so to be nice a tendor. Then would used the braised leaks as the base of a dish and cook the talipa ontop of it with a roasted red pepper butter. maybe serve with some sauteed green beans with butter maybe some almonds to give the dish some crunch the cabbage, maybe a ncie slaw with some burgers and dogs. ti is the summer.... |

I dumped the napa in favor of bok choy. Chopped it all up, seasoned it and
roasted it under the fish. Was pretty good. |
