Hi! I'm wanting to make a sauce thats basically tinned tomato, garlic and one "dried red chile". For the life of me, I can't find any dried chiles near me right now! I have a chilli paste type thing that i know will give me the heat required, but i'm assuming the chile will add some sort os sweetness? is there anything/combination of things i could use instead? such as my hot paste and some red pepper for example? Thanks!!

Your chile paste wil work with or without the red (Bell?) pepper. I wouldn't expect a "dried red chile" to bring any sweetness to a sauce.
