Dried Apricots for Figs?

I found a recipe for an apple and fig bread pudding, and I really want to try it, but I'm not a big fan of figs. The recipe calls for 12 dried figs, would it be possible for me to subsitute 12 dried apricots?

My guess would be that yes you could substitute the apricots for the figs.

Go with the dried fruit you like the most..If you like apricots by all means use them..I would and have...

I agree, go with it. I love raisins and would probably toss some in.

I don't know if the ratio would be exactly the same, apricots tend to be bigger than figs.

I would have put in more apricots than figs as figs have a stronger flavour than the apricots and here, apricots are smaller than figs - both dried and fresh.

Go ahead and use the apricots. Just be sure to change the name of the finished product.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't sub dried apricots for dried figs.
