I do not have Crisco; is there a good substitute?:

Depending on what you want to use it for, you could substitute butter or oil.

Just as Andy M asked, it depends on what you're making:

Butter
Margarine
Oil
Lard
and sometimes even water

...they all have uses in place of Crisco, but some better than others depending on the need.
