(dry chopped onion) As for onion salt it would be 1/4 tsp for 1/2 onion and 1/2 tsp for a whole medium onion. (skip adding salt to the recipe) For onion powder it is a dash (1/8 tsp) for 1/2 onion and 1/4 tsp for a whole onion. (this is an onion only product)
