DD reads cooking magazines and likes to watch cooking shows; lately she's been asking for Sage, which I haven't found in my local grocery.

Any idea what to sub for the taste? She asked for thyme a while back, from the same shows and magazines, and we've been enjoying that.

thanks

I find sage to be a very unique flavor. I don't know of any substitute for it. If your store has something like "poultry seasoning", that would probably work, since one of the primary ingredients is more than likely sage.

You could also use thyme or rosemary to get an "herby" flavor, but it won't be quite the same.
