Vanilla sugar

any favorite brands/sources for small qty of real vanilla sugar?
not packets, not 3 lb tubs....

I make it myself by putting a couple of vanilla beans in my sugar canister. If you don't have time to wait a few weeks, Penzeys is good. You can get it in half cup, one cup or two cup jars.

dc, The Spice House also sells vanilla sugar. I find that their prices tend to be lower than Penzeys but the quality is the same. I'm pleased with everything I've bought from them.

Where I see it most often is from Oetker.

It comes in small and larger packets as I've seen it.

thought about DYI - we're basically 'experimenting' with it - if it is a hit I probably will.
thanks for the leads on Penzy's & Spice House.

btw, the Oetker stuff I saw was "artificially flavored" - I'd prefer to start with the real thing....
