that reminds me of my neighbors kimchee. they made it the traditional way: outside, then buried in in jars in their backyard. stunk up the whole neighborhood.

i once asked them how they knew if it had gone bad. i don't think they had ever considered it before.

How about "Stray Thoughts"? I can't even bring myself to look in there.

They would have credited your account with no questions asked.
In fact, today I am returning an office chair my wife bought me for Christmas.
Not last Christmas, the Christmas before.
The leather is coming undone. So back it will go and i will get another one to take its place.

I once had a external hard drive that died on me. So I bought a new one.
Then a couple years later the new one died on me.
I went to buy a third drive and the guy in the electronics isle asked what happened.
To shorten the story, I was credited with the cost of both drives.
One was over 4 years old.

Now, I would never take advantage of the store. But they say they stand behind everything they sell.
So, I take them up on there claim.

Thanks.
Another good thing to remember is you really need no receipt either. (I recommend keeping receipts)
Everything you buy with your membership is recorded and can easily be looked up.
I took back the chair and a bag of asparagus that went bad one day after opening it.
I put them in the freezer until i could go back.
They credited my account for both items and i had no receipt for either.

It seems lately i have been doing this at least one or two times a year.
Seems much of Costco's products are made in China.
That bothers me.
But Costco does put much emphasis on quality. I guess quality is in the eye of the beholder.
I have been disappointed lately with Costco. They even ignored my email.
