I bought a bottle of cream of coconut for making drinks and am wondering how long that can be stored in the fridge once opened? It comes in a squeeze type bottle rather than a can.

Stilltasty.com, "the ultimate shelf life guide," says 5 to 7 days open in the refrigerator or 1 to 2 months in the freezer, with the usual note that it can be safe in the freezer indefinitely. I feel like 5 t0 7 days is also the "best by" time. It's mostly coconut and lots of sugar, so unless it starts growing hair, it would be usable in a pinch. And, of course, "open" means tightly closed and removed from the metal can, when it's not in a squeeze bottle.
