Is a baked meringue safe?

Is a meringue that is baked in the oven for 15 minutes safe to eat? Or should I use pasteurized eggs?

Safe. I do it everytime I make lemon meringue or orange meringue or pumpkin meringue pie as well as those cute little meringue cookies.
