sprouted hana yam

a few of hana yams are sprouted in a grocery bag. i forgot about them for a while.
are there poisons in sprouts?

no - sprouting yams are perfectly safe.

depending on how far along they are, they may not be very tasty however.
last week I noticed one was sprouting, cut it open and it was 'hollowed' out - I chucked it in the compost - so check'em before you 'rely' on having them for dinner....
