Thawing my turkey

The temp outside got a little higher, but the car was in the shade all the time and it was pretty cool inside. I am so darned mad at myself! I can't afford to go buy another for tomorrow.

There are a lot of people here who will tell you to use it. Without knowing the actual temp in the car there is no way to be sure if it is safe. I am usually a stickler for safety with poultry, but this sounds like a case that might be right on the line. I would possible still use it if I thought the temp never got much above 40.

Thanks for the advice! I think I was more worried that it had been in the fridge since Monday and would not get cooked until tomorrow. I am usually a huge stickler about poultry, also.

Mostly, I am grateful to have discovered this message board today!

hello all,
It sounds like it could go either way----I would have cooked it too.

Sure hope that you do not suffer any after affects from your decision!

Happy Turkey day to all, hope it's filled with laughs and good food.
