Ephedra - Anyone planted it?

Has anyone ever planted ephedra? I have allergies at times and that always helped before the lame FDA banned it.

First, Ephedra is more predominately used for diet, not just congestion (and can still be bought online). Ephedrine, which is not banned just limited in the amount you can buy, is a chemical combination.

Isn't it nice that Andy looks for information on his own too? And corroborates yours! I love to see research happening. You have to check post times as it looks like Andy must have been researching about the time you were posting yours.

PoorCooker, I live in Canada, so things might be a bit different here but we can buy a commercial tea that has ephedra in it. I THINK its called Breathe Right. Its in the organic section of the store.

I'm afraid I don't have any answers about whats allowed to be grown in your garden, but I know someone more knowledgeable will be along ASAP.

Thanks for the clarification, cuz thats not what it looked like at first.

I am always impressed at the amount of knowledge our members can find in a short period of time on any given topic. Its very cool.
