Ketchup and Fries - on the same plant!

Himself saw this story on NPR. Apparently, they finally perfected grafting a tomato plant to a potato root stock. He was surprised that I knew that both plants were from the same genus, the nightshade family. I reminded him that I'm not completely dumb, just tech-dumb.
