I've been making this granola for some time. It is super easy to make, and a good healthy snack when you want something crunchy. Also easy to customize and add other whole grains if you like. I will say that I deviate from the recipe and bake the mixture on a cookie sheet at 350 for 15 minutes or so till it gets golden brown. Then I let it sit on the sheet for a few minutes and then scrape it up with a spatula. If you let it cool completely on the sheet it is much harder to get off. Anyway, enjoy!

Grand Granola with Four Uses or So

I get a big container of oatmeal, I like the old fashioned rolled type, into a roaster pan, mix water and sugar/honey, cinnamon, wheat germ (sometimes), chopped walnuts, toss and bake for a few hours at a low temperature until lightly browned. THEN add dried fruits, raisin, craisins, etc. We do this most weeks.
