Yeah, and on MC, she'd had her time cooking for Middle Eastern royalty, but now she's added Charlie Sheen to her clientele. ;)

You met Anthony Bourdain in person? Wow. I have read his book "No Reservations" and seen him on other shows. He is pretty hard-nosed, but so far on this show I like him a lot.

He has always come across to me as being very arrogant. Do not watch or like him at all.

Yeah. He was a line chef at a lot of different restaurants in NYC. Then he land this gig on television where he travels around the world trying different foods.

bourdain is the taste's bad boy, much like steven tyler was resident bad boy for american idol. on the whole, bad boys are good for ratings. most women have a special attraction for our 'bad boy's in america--we forgive a lot. yes, some people are offended by their potty mouths, their arrogance and conceit, and refuse to watch them. but many others tune in just to hate on them, or to witness and react to the bb's expected repulsive behavior. bourdain is also the most recognizable and famous of the show's panelists. the success or failure of this new show, the taste, right or wrong, sits quite squarely on bourdain's roguish shoulders.

I enjoy Bourdain, and his books. And yes, he is kind of a jerk.
