I borrowed a friend's food dehydrator to preserve some pears. I would also like to dehydrate my serrano peppers, but I am afraid that it will make the next thing she dehydrates hot. If I dry the peppers whole do you think that would be a problem?

There won't be a problem. I dry fruits, peppers, herbs and just wash the trays in between. I've never noticed any cross-taste at all.

I have to go along with the - if you wash the trays with soap and water between batches of "whatever" you should not have a problem.
