Caribbean Turkey Kebobs
Thought this looked interesting.
Ingredients 500 g boneless, skinless turkey thigh 1 lb 3 green onions, chopped fine 3 3 cloves garlic, minced 3 25 mL lime juice 2 tbsp 15 mL soy sauce 1 tbsp 5 mL grated ginger root 1 tsp 5 mL lime zest 1 tsp 5 mL Tabasco sauce 1 tsp 1 mL pepper 1/4 tsp 1 red pepper 1 1 medium onion 1 Directions Cut turkey into 24 small cubes and place in large bowl. Mix all marinade ingredients together in a separate bowl. Pour over turkey, stirring to coat all pieces evenly. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Cut red pepper and onion into cubes. Thread turkey pieces onto 8 skewers, alternating with pepper and onion cubes. Barbecue on a greased grill heated to medium for 405 minutes per side. Test for doneness by slicing into a turkey cube after 8-10 minutes. Turkey should be cooked until it is just no longer pink on the inside. Serves 4. Per serving: 178 calories, 25 g protein, 6 g fat, 6 g carbohydrate
