Grandma Dorothy's Holiday Meatballs

Not my grandma, but a great turkey meatball.

1 1/2lbs ground turkey
1/4 cup water
2 slices white bread soaked in water and squeezed dry
dash salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 small onion grated
1 egg

SAUCE:
2 cups water
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 tbs lemon juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 - 16oz can tomato sauce

Mix turkey, water, onion, egg, salt, bread and pepper. Form into small walnut sized meatballs.
To prepare sauce, mix sauce ingredients, bring to boil, add meatballs, cover and simmer lo for about 1 1/2 hours.

these sound great. but i'd use beef instead.
