Washing Up
Someone earlier this week asked for a recipe for hoisin chicken and I had to search to find mine, and now I cannot find the chain. Hope whomever wanted it sees this.
SPICY HOISIN CHICKEN
1/2 Cup hoisin sauce
1 tsp finely grated peeled fresh ginger
4 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp dried hot red pepper flakes (can be omitted or adjusted to taste)
1/2 tsp Asian sesame oil
1 Tbs soy sauce
1 Tbs rice vinegar (not seasoned)
8 chicken thighs with skin adn bones, about 2-1/4 lbs, I used breasts
Preheat oven to 500.
Whisk together all ingredients except chicken, then coat chicken all over with sauce. Arrange chicken, skin sides up, in 1 layer without crowding in a foil lined large shallow baking pan (1 inch deep). Roast in upper third of oven until chicken is cook through and glaze is brown, 20-30 min.
