Getting to Know - CookingMamaof2

1. If you could, would you open a restaurant and what would you call it?

2. You say you are a cooking Mama...how old are your kids?

3. Who is your hero and why?

I don't think I would open a restaurant, only because with kids, I don't want the time commitment, but if I were, it would either be a bakery or an all natural restaurant with an English and Italian menu. I'm really bad at thinking up names, so I'd probably call it something like "Marie's"

Nora is 3 and Valerie is 20 months. They are exactly 20 months apart. Another piece of trivia, Val was born on my 30th birthday.

3. Who is your hero and why?
I don't really have a hero, but I really look up to and respect my dad. He always believed in me and pushed me to be the best that I could be.

Besides cooking, do you have a creative outlet?
What is your favorite thing to cook?
What personality trait do you most value in yourself?

1. Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?

2. If money were no object and you had a year to do anything at all you wanted, what would you do?

3. How do you want to be remembered when you are gone?

4. Would you get more satisfaction from preparing a perfect meal for ten people or from teaching those ten people how to prepare that meal?

HI :)

What is your favourite family activity?

What is your best quality in your opinion?

If you had 1 last thing to do before you die what would that be?

I'm not really a very creative person, as far as artistic, but outside of cooking and in my"spare" time. I love to read and am never with out a book. Also, I have started running again and have a group of mom friends that I run with. We are training for a half marathon in Sept.

That's a tough one. I love cooking something new and complicated and getting it right. If I had to pick one thing, I would pick lasagna. It's my favorite food and reminds me of Sunday afternoons during my childhood.

I'm a good listener and I try to put others first.

My high school calc teacher. He made learning fun and was inspiring. He really paid attention to us as students. He's one of the reasons taht I am a math teacher and who I strive to be like in my teaching.

I would travel as much as I can and expose my kids to as many different cultures as possible. I'd love to spend a good potion of the year just living in Italy.

As a good person, an inspiring teacher, and a great mom.

From teaching 10 people.

snuggling on the couch reading stories, Sunday dinner with the entire family, a family outing to the zoo or someplace like that.

To see my girls grow up. There's places I'd love to see, but I'd want to make sure they are taken care of and happy.

Maybe Kate Middleton so that I could see what it's really like to be a princess.
