Would you get more satisfaction from preparing a perfect meal for ten people or from teaching those ten people how to prepare that meal?

I would likely get more personal satisfaction out of teaching those folks to prepare that meal. Teaching is a difficult but highly rewarding process.
Of course, I would get plenty of satisfaction from simply preparing a meal like that, but teaching 10 others to do that would be a most enjoyable challenge..
Shucks, most times, I enjoy the cooking more than I do the eating.
(but not ALL the time! )

Lewis and Clark.
They were the first to find a way across what was then a new country. It was an arduous journey, but one I would have gladly signed on for.
Jim Bridger, on the other hand, came fairly late in the fur trade era.
He was born the year that Lewis and Clark went west. Still, he was one of the greatest of the Mountain Men.
