Extra question: Would you get more satisfaction from preparing a perfect meal for ten people or from teaching those ten people how to prepare that meal?

While I love to cook for others, I think I love to teach more. Some of the people I have taught to make specific dishes or techniques get scared out of their minds when I say "okay, here is the recipe and here is all your ingredients, go ahead and make it". But as I walk through each step, their confidence grows and they are really satisfied with themselves as we sit down to eat their creations (always part of the deal).

I loved George Carlin, but I have to say without hesitation my favourite comedian as always been Whoopi Goldberg. Her movie "Jumping Jack Flash" is my all time favourite and I love her standup comedy as well.

Great question, Bolas, thanks.

If you could commission any artist dead or alive to "paint" your portrait, whom would it be and why?

Yes please, and peppermint patties sound like heaven! I'll tell you what PF, if you open your kitchen, I'll make the entree and you ladies can handle sides, dessert and bread.

Laurie, I know lots about you, but I don't think I ever knew why you picked cakes. I know you catered for awhile, but I don't remember hearing why you chose cakes etc.

Also, what is your most satisfying moment?

LP, I don't know how you slipped by me without asking you questions!

What's the most dangerous thing you've ever done?
("danger" is subject to your take on the word)

If you could change one thing in your life, what would it be?

When is the last time you went to the movies, and what did you see?

Wasn't she fabulous in that movie? I loved the way her smile lit up the movie theatre in the scene where she finally meets the guy. I have been a fan of hers ever since I first saw that smile.

My kitchen is always open, but I'm not kidding about renting a banquet room. My kitchen is only big enough for one, literally, I don't even let Shrek in there when I am busy. I must get a picture of it so folks understand.
