If you like Old Crow Medicine Show then you will probably like Yonder Mountain String Band.

Manga and Anime. It's my Grandson Tabor's fault!

He wasn't reading, only watching and playing on his PSP. I asked his Mom what he liked watching and she told me about the Anime. So, I went to the bookstore and discovered Manga. Bought several for him and to my surprise he was the only Grandkid reading the books we bought for them, during our visit.

I then discovered there is another division of Manga and Anime which is porn. Since no one else was paying attention to what Tabor was reading, watching, I decided to monitor what he was reading and watching. Now I'm hooked!

What a great list! Do you have Stan Getz & Joćo Gilberto? If not, I highly recommend it.

No, but I will look it up after your recommendation. Odds are I've heard it, but do not remember Joćo Gilberto. I had a very interesting, if hyper and distracted, mentor when it came to Jazz. He would run up and down the aisles of the store, picking up different albums to listen to, then we 'd get one track done and he'd say, "Oh, oh! you have to hear this one!"

Like trying to rope a tornado! I taught him what I knew about Classical music, but somehow we'd always get off on a Monty Python tangent! He was great fun, but he wore me out.

That sounds like it must have been a ton of fun!

What is the scariest thing that has ever happened to you?

Late one wintery night my car died and I got it rolled around a corner, unfortunately blocking the driveway of a gas station. The Police Station was about a block away, so I walked over there for some help. There was an unusual bustle going on and everyone was quite busy. Since I just needed a ride home, I went back to my car and managed to get it rolled out of the drive, locked it up and started walking home. About 5 blocks away I got the whoop of a siren and and a squad car rolled up. The policeman inside was motioning me into the car.

The policman was, Jim the Deputy Chief, my 4-H co-leader and family friend (I have other stories about him). I got into the car and he asked me what I thought I was doing, walkng around at 4 in the morning. I explained the situation and he tells me why they were so busy.

There had been 3 rapes on campus that night and I was walking through the area where they were searching for the rapist. I got my ride home!

It wasn't the last time I unknowingly walked through a crime scene.
