You said you got your username kinda the same way I got mine. Could you elaborate?

(And thanks for bumping!)

When I first started out playing on the Internet in college I was TreetopAngel:

A Little Christmas Story
When four of Santa's elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the Pre-Christmas pressure.
Then Mrs. Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more.
When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where.
Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.
Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drunk all the cider and hidden the liquor.. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.
Just then the doorbell rang, and an irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.
The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?'

And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.

Not a lot of people know this.

Then a few years ago my best friend called me an Ogre...it took a couple of days, but someone else started calling me Fiona. Soon everyone was calling me Fiona, then my best friend was calling me Fiona in her blog to hide my identity.

I finally broke down and started using it, especially since my friend is trying to publish her blog in book form. When it does publish...yes, I AM that Fiona.

How did Shrek get his nickname (for the longest time, I thought he was your cat...).

This is fascinating!

You would get along well with my partner, he is a big Joss Whedon fan, loves anime, and can't get enough of used book stores. Every time we go to another town, no matter where it is he grabs my smartphone and starts looking for used book stores.

Oh yeah, I never get tired of any of those...we just finished watching Serenity and are now watching Firefly episodes. Drives Shrek nuts when I can do the dialog.

And it's time for Buffy, again.

I've asked you some questions but I would like to ask a few more :)

1. What did you want to be when you "grow up" as a child?

2. Who inspires you most?

3. What makes you cry?

Fun thread with fun answers! Thanks for sharing, PF!

My question: What are two songs that seem to "transport" you to good memories?

1. I wanted to be a librarian or Home Economics Teacher, neither of which happened of course I think I'm much happier now with my chosen profession.

2. My Mother. She is the smartest person I know, she beat Breast and Ovarian Cancer and she stayed sane married to my Dad and raising us kids...she is amazing. My Great grandmother was another inspiration.

3. Everything and nothing. Happy, sad...I cry over it all.

How about a whole album? Steve Miller Band, Fly Like An Eagle. Also, The Peer Gynt Suite.

It's quite difficult to pick just two songs...
