What is the first thing you remember cooking?

Who taught you how to cook?

What food would you love to try but haven't yet?

The first thing I remember cooking was scrambled egg with chopped viennas..lol! I even wrote the recipe down for my gran when I was 6 because she asked me how I got my eggs so fluffy. Still have the recipe, I found it in my Grans bible when she passed. Filled with spelling mistakes like "skramble with chopped vienenas..lol!

I watched my mom when she cooked and helped in the kitchen and helped my Gran so I guess I just picked up how from them :)

I have never had Abelone or Truffles, would like to try both very much. I'll be trying Abelone as soon as I go to Cape Town again. I don't want to buy frozen.

What dish that you make gets the most praise?

If you could hang with one celebrity for a day who would it be?

I guess I get the most praise for my Polenta Tart (my signature dish) and my potato salad. I always end up making potato salad for BBQ's but I don't even eat it!

Celebrity, not sure that would interest me much but if I had to pick one I would say Samuel L Jackson. He's played some very inspiring roles in movies and I think I would enjoy talking to him most.

I like a bit of almost each genre, don't have one favourite. Good music comes in many forms. I'll name a few artists I listen to just to give you an idea.
John Lennon, Elton John, Steven Tyler, Nickelback, Creed, Pink, Alison Moyet, Joan Armatrading, Live etc etc.

Ciao Odette, I'm the Genie of the lamp!
I will transport you in Italy with my magic carpet, but you can choose only one place to visit:
Portofino
Venice
Florence
Rome
Capri
Taormina

And, while you're here, I will prepare for you the most incredible and tasty recipe of all times. Choose one of the following (I intentionally left out lasagna…):
Spaghetti carbonara
Piemontese boiled dinner
Seafood risotto
Florentine steak
Zuppa inglese

You've given me a tough decision to make when it comes to cities. I'll have to Pick Portofino although I would also love to see La Grotta Azzurra in Capri. I pick Portofino because from what I've seen it's a beautiful village and a prefer places like that to the big cities.

I would choose Piemontese boiled dinner since I love rustic food and I could make the other dishes at home.
