Egg salad on an onion bagel?

I usually make my egg or tuna salad open faced. No squishing, and no guilt if I decide to have another. :LOL:
I am not a bread eater, so I put egg or tuna salad on a half piece of bread and fold it in half. Then I eat the rest of what is in the bowl without bread right from the bowl. I don't understand why I even bother with bread. I remove all the crust first and after the first bite, I start tearing away at the bread. :)
 
Open faced solves the problem. The rule of thumb is softer fillings need softer bread.
