Sloppy Joes:

1 lb. ground beef
1 cup minced real onion
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 tablesoon shortening
1 cup green pepper, finely chopped
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 cup catsup or chili sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar

Brown meat slowly until meat is crumbly, but, soft. Drain grease off. Combine remaining ingredients with meat. Cover skillet and simmer slowly for 35 or 30 minutes. Makes 4-5 cups of filling. Serve on sandwich buns. You can melt slices of cheese on top of mixture too if you want.

This rocks! So that's how you make Sloppy Joes from scrath. I love these, but always use the can stuff (I'm lazy, so shoot me!). I'm all over this! Thanks!

I like using my crockpot alot..so just fry the hamburger and dump the rest of the ingredients in it and cook it on low till heated through....cook on high if you need it faster.
